Fender Strat
My favourite guitar to play and practice with, the most likely one you'll ever see me with on a gig or practice session. It's a 60th anniversary Fender Stratocaster with several modifications. The neck and mid pickups are Texas Specials, the bridge pickup has been replaced with a Seymour Duncan Hotrail.
The top picture is me re-stringing ready to play at Beach Break festival in 2009.
Fernandes Strat Copy
I imported this guitar from New York as I had been after a Fernandes for some time and was finding it difficult to find one in the UK. This particular model was never retailed outside of Japan, built in either 1981 or 1982 it has all original features except for the electronics which I recently had renovated. I consider it an opposite, in colour at least, to my favourite white strat.
Fender Strat - Cape
Although admitidly, not a guitar that I own, this remains one of my favourite guitars; the red strat played by good friend of mine Chris Cape. It's a 1987 Eric Clapton signature: gold lace sensor pick ups and active mid boost give it a really unique tone. The neck is to die for too.
